It seems that every industry has its one really big industry-wide event every year, and for us in the business of technology for risk, insurance and safety management, it’s the RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition. Taking place next week in New Orleans, RIMS 2015 is the place that exhibitors like Ventiv Technology showcase the newest innovations and enhancements to their products.
Being RIMS, it just seems like a good time to share with a wide readership a rundown of some of our recent product successes. This post gives an overview of eight key enhancements we’ve made since last year’s RIMS to our RiskConsole risk management information software. These eight key enhancements are just a few of the more than 100 we’ve released since last RIMS.
Late last year, we introduced a brand-new, thoroughly redesigned user interface for RiskConsole. Clients affirm that the new user interface has the industry’s newest and most up-to-date user experience. Among the many improvements are the sleek, new and modern look and feel; enhanced workflow efficiencies; ease-of-use for new and occasional users; and the ability to use RiskConsole in multiple browsers.
For clients who haven’t yet converted to the new interface, I encourage you to come visit us at RIMS (booth #701) and, when you have a moment week after next, contact your account manager and get the process started.
Using Ventiv’s new dashboard widgets, you can choose from numerous key-performance statistics and indexes to build just the right dashboard for your needs. We think this is a major enhancement for RiskConsole users because it’s an easy way to build powerful dashboards in a few clicks. We’re excited about this user-friendly self-service capability now available in RiskConsole.
It’s easier than ever for client administrators to add new fields and objects, design and modify screens, and set screen views for different roles within their organizations. This way, for example, a claims-focused employee can get one screen view, a finance-department employee another screen view and safety-focused employee yet another screen view. This means RiskConsole users don’t have to wade through information that’s not of interest to them.
RiskConsole’s dynamic data-intake tool, called Flexible Forms, empowers you to capture virtually any kind of information that needs to be collected from the field (such as incidents, audits, claims and exposure values). Deploying the RiskConsole Flexible Forms tool can generate for your organization substantial cost savings over non-configurable intake tools or telephone intake services.
Flexible Forms also improves the quality and thoroughness of the data collected by ensuring all the necessary information is captured. Flexible Forms is a dynamic data-intake tool, which means the questions asked change based on the answers provided. For example, if a sequence of answers indicates an incident may be OSHA recordable, Flexible Forms dynamically asks for all the information required by OSHA regulations.
And for users in the field, Flexible Forms presents end users with forms that are easy to read and navigate. The tool makes it easy to provide instructions and other relevant information and present this information to field users in a non- technical format that’s easy to use.
Integrated safety tools empower you to manage pre-loss activities within RiskConsole. By consolidating your organization’s pre- and post-loss databases, you can make definitive links between your loss experience and preventive actions like safety meetings, surveys and audits. By definitively linking corrective and preventive actions to loss experience in RiskConsole, you can have a substantial impact on your risk transfer costs.
The RiskConsole mapping analytics application is the market’s most powerful data-visualization tool. Unlike other mapping tools, in RiskConsole you can create a map-based report from any data element that has a geographic component.
Numerous recent improvements to RiskConsole’s mapping tool give users an even greater level of insight into their risk data:
With RiskConsole’s powerful mapping analytics application, you can gain greater insight into your data by viewing it in an interactive, visually compelling map. Geographical analytics helps you quickly uncover trends and patterns that are difficult to spot in traditional tables, charts and graphs.
Ventiv’s Casualty Metrics solution is a multi-step, process-oriented offering focused on information analysis and goal visualization. With it, you can benchmark your casualty program against those of your peers; establish the right metrics and communicate them to your organization; track your goals; launch new initiatives for achieving your goals; and monitor your results.
Through consultation with experts who understand the value of information and how to use data to deliver results aligned with your goals, Casualty Metrics gives you a clear path through data noise, leading to an improved casualty program.
